Steven Everett Holland

Steven Everett Holland, 50, entered into the presence of the Lord on July 16, 2025. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, stepfather, uncle, and friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Steve is survived by his loving wife of almost 15 years, Kimberly Holland (Warfield, Willett, Lavey); his loving mother, Deborah Stevenson Holland; his brothers, Braxton “Wolverine” Holland II and Kelly “Pickle” Holland; his stepson, Zachary “Mallard“ Willett; and his cherished nieces and nephews: Lindsey “Lizard” Holland, Zachery “Mr. McDoodle” Holland, Kelsie “Hubadoo” Holland, and Krista “Monster” Morris. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Braxton Lenville Holland, with whom he shared a deep bond. Steve was known for his deep commitment to family. He dedicated much of his adult life to caring for his parents, selflessly giving support with unwavering love and loyalty. His presence was steady, dependable, and full of grace. A man of many talents and interests, Steve was the proud owner of a landscaping business, where he combined a strong work ethic with helping many of his clients beyond maintaining their lawn. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, “tinkering” (working on things in the garage, “picking and grinning” (playing the mandolin), fishing local ponds, “picking it up and putting it down” (weight training), and “doing pop-a-wheelies” (riding his motorcycle). Additionally, he enjoyed touting his special talent for identifying venomous snakes of North America. Steve never missed an opportunity to ask people if they had any questions about venomous snakes of North America. Steve’s legendary sense of humor brought joy to everyone around him. His stories or “bear tails" as he called them—especially the infamous tales of the elusive “Chicken Deer”—never failed to bring laughter and lightness to even the most ordinary days. Steve was also a fan of those dreaded “Dad” jokes that make you roll your eyes but laugh none the less. Steve was a person who made everyone feel like they mattered. He was kind, genuine, and impossible not to love. His absence leaves a deep and quiet space in the hearts of those who knew him. His memory will live on in every life he touched. His legacy will be one of love, service, and devotion to Jesus Christ. A celebration of Steve’s life will be held on August 15, 2025 from 5-8:00pm at the FOP Lodge 24 10285 Rosewick Rd.
