Rosemary Louise Burke

Rosemary Louise Burke, 78 of Dundalk, MD left this world on November 26, 2015 at the Genesis Center in La Plata, MD. She was born on June 5, 1937 at home in North Apollo, PA to the late Milo A. and Flora Lee Whitlinger Brewer. Rose accepted Jesus Christ as her Saviour on June 19, 2012 and was born again, giving her family full confidence that she is now present with God in heaven. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. John 3:5-7 She relocated to Baltimore, Maryland at the age of 19 to obtain employment. While waitressing she met and soon married Curtis William Burke, the love of her life in August of 1959. Rose always had time for and loved children. In addition to her sons there were always other children near and dear. Rose loved spending time with her granddaughters. Rose had an impact on the lives of many children. Most dear to her were Brian Neal, Benjamin Neal, and Steven Angelidis. Rose had a special love for these boys; she loved them like her very own. Rose enjoyed shopping, cooking and eating. There wasn’t much money but always good food at the Burke home. She especially liked baking. Those who had the pleasure of eating her chocolate cake have delicious memories of her skills. Rose resided in Baltimore until 2006 when she moved to the Cove Point senior community in Dundalk. There she made many friends that she loved dearly. She had great fun playing bingo and other activities with them. She will always be remembered for her warm affections towards others. Her husband Curtis William Burke preceded her in death, April 3rd, 1995. She is survived by her sons and daughter in-law Curtis Collison and Constance Louise Burke and Brian William Burke. Grandchildren Megan Lynn and Michael Paul Koch SR and Kirsten Renee Burke. Great Grandchildren Maddison Bailey Koch and Michael Paul Koch JR. A Celebration of Life Service is to be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 11:00am. At Cove Point Apartments Community Room, 7801 Peninsula Expressway, Dundalk, MD 21222. Lunch will be provided proceeding the service. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8
