Patricia Lee Howard

Patricia Lee Huff Howard Clark 79, of La Plata, Maryland, passed away at her home on September 18, 2024. Pat was born on January 31, 1945 to Marion and Margaret (Brown) Huff in Baltimore, MD. Pat grew up in Lexington Park, MD and attended Great Mills High School (’63). She married Michael W. Howard June 1962, and welcomed their son, Michael Christopher Howard in March 1964. They were married ~40 years when Mike passed away from his battle with cancer, April 2002. Pat retired as a Customer Service Representative with Bell Atlantic Telephone Company. She later went back to work as a clerk at the Charles County Court House for the Circuit Court Clerk’s office until April 2005. Pat was blessed to fall in love with Dr. Edward C. Clark and they married in May 2017. Pat had a love for art and decorating; she enjoyed spending quality time with her husband, Ed going on adventures in Old Town, Alexandria, Williamsburg, VA, New Orleans and Southern California, where they would explore, find unique artwork/pottery and try new restaurants. She loved spending time with her granddaughters going to lunch and shopping. Pat loved fashion and her granddaughters became inspired by her unique wardrobe and interior design. She was known for being a great host during family gatherings at her home for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. She made each holiday memorable for all that attended. Pat loved cats, her cat, Panda, was her companion who she loved dearly. She would connect with friends and family on Facebook, with daily greetings and pictures with words of wisdom each morning. Pat was predeceased by her parents, sisters and brother-in-law’s: Jean (Ray) Huntley, Donna (Michael) Berry and her first husband, Michael W. Howard. She is survived by her son Michael ‘Chris’ Howard (Brenda); her husband, Dr. Edward C. Clark; and her two granddaughters, Julia Howard, and Camryn Howard. Memorial contributions may be made in Pat’s name to Charles County Humane Society, https://humanesocietycc.org/. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5th from 10:00am – 1:00pm EST at Raymond Funeral Services, La Plata, MD. Following the services, family and friends are welcome to come back to Chris and Brenda’s residence for a Celebration of Life to share memories.
