Janine Perry

Janine Perry, 58, of Waldorf, Maryland, suddenly departed this life to her eternal resting place on March 3, 2023. Janine was born on February 10, 1965, in Washington, D.C. to the late Robert L. and Rosena J. Perry. Janine worked as a production coordinator for the U. S. Department of State until her passing. As a child, Janine's early Christian walk was under the leadership of the late Reverend Daniel L. Jackson, Trinidad Baptist Church, Washington, D.C., where her grandfather was the presiding Pastor. Prior to Janine's transition, she was a devoted member of the National Church of God in Fort Washington, Maryland for many years beginning with the leadership of the late Pastor T. L. Lowery and continuing under the current Bishop Jonathan E. Zeigler. Janine's love for and belief in Jesus, led her to pursue a life devoted to ministry in Evangelism. She loved sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Janine was educated in the District of Columbia's educational system and graduated from Eastern Senior High School in 1982. Wanting to always learn more, Janine furthered her education through online college courses and attending Business Schools in the District. Janine's passions included writing poetry, reading books, writing novels, cooking and travelling. In addition to her parents, Janine is preceded in death by her son Antonio Perry; brothers: Robert D. Perry Sr. and Daniel P. Perry Sr.; sister: Deborah A. Ramos and nephew: Ricardo M Ramos. She leaves to cherish her memory five sisters: Cheryl M. Metts: Maryland, Tanya Perry Collins: Georgia, Penny Perry-Jackson: Washington, D.C., Crystal Perry: North Carolina, and Lashawn Perry: Maryland; five nephews: Jamil F. Metts Sr., Darrell Jackson, Daniel P. Perry Jr., Davon Perry, and Robert Perry Jr.; six nieces: Michelle Y. Metts, Tiffany Jackson, Dymon S. Perry, Danyelle Perry, Dominique Perry, and Lela Perry; three great nephews: Jamil F. Metts Jr., Jayden Metts and Justice Metts; three great nieces: Bianca L. Coreas, Nyia, and Na’jai Chappelle; two aunts: Inez Dillard and Diane Flaz, one uncle: James Perry, and a host of other relatives and friends. Special acknowledgement to her devoted friends: Diane Watson, Queen Bush and Zelma "Cookie" Briggs. Family to greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 beginning at 10:30 am followed by a closed casket Memorial Services at 11:00 am at the National Church of God, 6701 Bock Road, Fort Washington, Maryland 20744. Pastor Fletcher Wright, presiding. Interment to follow at Washington National Cemetery, 4104 Suitland Road, Suitland, Maryland 20746. Due to ongoing COVID19 health concerns, there will be no repast at this time.
