Chandra Krisnan Mouli

Chandra Mouli (1948-2026) was a devoted father, spouse, brother, and grandfather. He entered heaven to be with the LORD on January 29th, 2026. He is beloved by so many people. Chandra is survived by his wife Helene Mouli, daughter Robin Fiddes and son in law Paul Fiddes, son Nathan Mouli and daughter in law Evelyn Hogan-Mouli, grandchildren Wesley, Kyle, Lauren, and James, and great grand-daughter Nadine Fiddes. He leaves behind his brother V.R. Shashidhar and wife Nalini, brother V.R. Ganesh and wife Manjula, sister Chaya Bhatia and husband Bhuvan, along with nieces Pratibha, Namrata, Ashwini, Jessica and Tori and nephews Arjun, Nishant, and James (Jimmy) along with grandnephews Neil and Rayan, and grandniece Mira. He was preceded by his father V. Radhakrishnan and mother V.R. Rajalakshmi. Chandra was born in Madhugiri, India and immigrated to the United States in 1974. He lived with friends in NYC and then joined the U.S. Army. He completed his basic training in Fort Campbell, KY and became a pharmacist. He worked at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Kirk Army Health Clinic and then worked for the state of Maryland. Chandra had many friends all over the world and their love for him was always apparent! Chandra was well known for his love of his family, playing poker and chess, traveling, reading, and he loved deep conversations. His sense of humor and steadfastness in the face of adversity never wavered. Later in life Chandra developed a love of walking outside with his grandchildren. He also started fishing as a hobby and he was there when his granddaughter Lauren caught her first catfish! He shared such a close bond with his wife Helene. They spent nights holding hands in prayer and often watched their favorite shows on TV together. Chandra was a great example of servant leadership. He was a member of La Plata Baptist Church; he donated to many charities and spent time caring for others before himself. He enjoyed listening to hymns and was an avid music fan. People who met Dad found it interesting that a man from a village in India was such a big fan of country artists like Willie Nelson! Memorial Services will be held at Raymond Funeral Home in La Plata, Maryland on March 7th. Visitation will be from 10am-12pm, and the service will follow from 12:00pm-1:00pm. Donations can be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.
