Ashli Nicole Zimmerman

With hearts full of love and sorrow, we remember Ashli Nicole Zimmerman, of La Plata, Maryland, who passed away on September 27, 2025, in Baltimore, Maryland. Born on December 30, 1982, in Cheverly, Maryland. Ashli was a daughter, a wife, and a mother whose life was defined by kindness, laughter, and an unwavering love for those around her. Ashli was a loving wife to Christopher Zimmerman and the proud, adoring mother of Saylor, Scotty, and Emmy, her greatest joys and the truest reflections of her heart. Becoming a mother was one of Ashli’s proudest accomplishments, a miracle she never took for granted. She poured her heart into motherhood, finding purpose and fulfillment in nurturing her girls, celebrating their milestones, and filling their lives with love. Ashli is lovingly survived by her husband, Christopher Zimmerman; her beloved children, Saylor, Emersyn and Scotlyn; her parents, Danny and Nikki Walter; her brothers, Derek Gardner, Austin, Cole and Tyler Walter; nephew Jaxson Gardner and niece Addison Gardner and Grandmother Sandra Gardner. Ashli is preceded in death by her great grandmother Mildred Guthrie (Nana) and grandfather Warren Gardner (Pap) Ashli graduated from McDonough High School in 2001. A graduate of Sanford Brown Institute, Ashli earned her sonography certification in 2009. She began her career at Shady Grove Fertility, where she found deep fulfillment helping others on their journey to parenthood, a calling she cherished and had a deep personal connection to. A natural-born leader, Ashli’s compassion and determination guided her into management roles. She most recently served as Clinical Operations Manager at Anderson Orthopedic Clinic in Alexandria, Virginia where her grace, integrity, and dedication left a lasting impact on her colleagues. Ashli found happiness in life’s simple joys. She loved the beach, shopping trips, concerts, and spending time with her family and friends, moments filled with laughter, love, and connection. Those who knew her will forever remember her witty personality, gentle heart, and the way she made everyone around her feel valued and cared for. She filled the lives of those around her with warmth, patience, and understanding, gifts that will continue to live on through her family and friends. Ashli’s family would like to thank the UMMC Weinberg 6 & 7 crews for their tireless efforts to help her through her long and difficult health battle. The doctors, nurses, and staff were not only healthcare professionals, but became like family, providing expert care, compassion, and hope through every challenge. Their kindness and dedication extended Ashli’s time with her loved ones, and for that, her family will be forever grateful. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Moose Lodge 1709, 4765 Crain Highway, White Plains, Maryland 20695. All who knew and loved Ashli are invited to join in celebrating her beautiful life, sharing stories, laughter, and love in honor of the joy she brought to so many.
