Ann Teresa Marlow

There are some people whose lives cannot be measured simply by the number of years they lived, but by the lives they touched. With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Ann Teresa Middleton Marlow, who passed away peacefully at home on August 22, 2026, at the remarkable age of 101. Born on October 04, 1924, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Baltimore. She graduated from the Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School in 1942. Ann attended the Temple Secretarial School in 1942-1943. Ann lived through more than a century of history. She experienced times of hardship and times of joy. Always meeting life’s challenges with determination, strength, remarkable resilience and love for her family. She witnessed incredible changes in the world while remaining a steady source of comfort, wisdom, and grace to those who knew her. Her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose home and heart were always open. She taught by example—showing the importance of hard work, compassion, humility, and caring for one another. Her love will continue to live on in the lives of everyone she touched. Ann married the love of her life, Walter Eugene Marlow Jr., on June 9, 1956, at Holy Family Church, Hillcrest Heights, Maryland. Ann found joy in gardening, reading, antiquing (mostly collecting) and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her children Walter E. Marlow III and Ann C. “Tina” Marlow Link; her grandchildren, Christopher Lloyd Link and his fiancé Amanda Martin, Matthew Brenton (Patricia) Link, Michael Stephen (Mary) Link, Walter Eugene (Kellie) Marlow IV, Heather Christina Marlow (Benjamin) Higerd along with 23 great-grandchildren and extended family members, and friends who will cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Eugene Marlow Jr and grandson John Martin Link Jr. whom she now joins in eternal peace. Those who knew Ann will remember her spirit, quiet strength, warm smile, and the way she made people feel loved simply by being with them. While our hearts are heavy with loss, we are grateful for the many years we were blessed to share with her. We are forever grateful for the privilege of calling her mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. A funeral/memorial service will be held on August 31, 2026, at 9:00AM at Raymond Funeral Service located at 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Visitation is 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM and burial will take place at Holy Ghost Catholic Church Issue Cemetery located at 15848 Rock Point Road, Newburg, Maryland 20664. Our family sincerely thanks the hospice team for their compassionate care, as well as everyone who shared their prayers, kindness, and support. Your love and thoughtfulness have been a source of great comfort and will never be forgotten. Though she is no longer with us in person, her love remains woven into our lives. We will carry her memory with us always, and she will be deeply missed.
