Agnes H. Wolfe

Agnes H. Wolfe, 89 formerly of Clinton, Maryland, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at the St. Mary’s Nursing Center in Leonardtown. She was born on April 10, 1936 in Leonardtown, Maryland, the first child and only daughter to the late James Earl Hill and late Viola Elizabeth Hill. Agnes was affectionately known by many names; Mom, Cricket, Aunt Agnes, Aunt Cricket, and MawMaw. In her early adulthood she worked with C&P Telephone company and eventually retired from Prince George’s County Board of Education as a Bus Aide. She was a lover of the arts, enjoyed musical theater, traveling, reading, and doing puzzles. Her absolute favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends. Most dear to her heart was being a “Professional Grandmother” to her beloved grandchildren. Agnes was very devoted to her family and never missed a sporting event, art show, performance, or function. In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Robert H. “Bob” Wolfe; daughter, Debra M. Wolfe; and son Robert E. “Robbie” Wolfe. She is also predeceased by her brothers, James E. “Shorty” Hill, James M. “Pinky” Hill Sr., Richard A. “Ricky” Hill, Edward Hill, and Dennis M. Hill; and sisters-in-law Marilee, Mary Elizabeth, and Mary. Agnes is survived by her daughters, Karen A. Jenkins (husband Scott), and Linda W. Hofe (husband Jason); grandchildren, Matthew W. Garcia, Emily R. Welch (husband Dylan), Zachary R. Jenkins, Chelsea L. Andre (husband Alec); and great grandchildren Elena Welch, Marissa Andre, Aiden Jenkins, and Kainoa Jenkins. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends. A memorial service will be on Monday, August 11, 2025, with visitation beginning at 10:00am and Funeral Services at 12:00pm. Services will take place at Raymond Funeral Service Chapel (5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646). Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Issue Catholic Church Cemetery (15848 Rock Point Road, Newburg, Maryland 20664). In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718.
