Philip Kenneth Hyde

November 25, 1946 - October 17, 2021

Philip Kenneth Hyde, 74, of Brandywine, Maryland, passed away on Sunday October 17, 2021. Born on November 25, 1946 in Brandywine, Maryland, he was the son of the late Roger Towers Hyde and Marjorie Alice Cross Hyde. Philip served in the U. S. Air Force and the National Guard. He worked as a Carpenter Foreman for Prince George’s County Public Schools for many years before retiring. Philip enjoyed gardening, Farming, watching football (a big Dallas Cowboys fan!), watching NASCAR racing, and bird watching. He was of the Episcopal faith and attended St. Paul’s Church in Baden. In addition to his parents, Philip was preceded in death by his wife Doris Ann Hyde; brother Roger Hyde. He is survived by his siblings Lorraine Whittington (Tony), Robert Hyde (Beverly), Janice Catterton (Donald), Erma Catterton (Bobby), and Peggy Lloyd (Kenny); numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021 from 9:30AM until time of service at 11:30AM at Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, Maryland 20735. Pallbearers are Donnie Catterton, Rob Catterton, Jason Catterton, Kyle Catterton, Logan Catterton, and Tyler Randall. Memorial contributions in Philip’s name may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, Maryland 21122. Condolences may be made at Philip’s Tribute Wall.
