Jennifer Louise Heiston Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jennifer “Jen” Louise Heiston, 59 of King George VA entered the Kingdom of Heaven surrounded by loved ones on Friday May 13, 2022. Devoted partner and soulmate of George Margelos, loving mother of Christopher Freeman (Kate), proud grandmother of C.J. and Kaylin Freeman. Jennifer is survived by her ex-husband, and very dear friend James Freeman. Jennifer is also survived by her mother Judy Heiston. In addition, she is survived by three sisters: Lisa Rector (Donnie), Jeanie Heiston, Christine Ryon (Chuck), and her brother Rick Heiston (Laurie), Aunt Mary Davis (Bill). Her loving family also includes three brothers-in-law: Richard Freeman (Nancy), John Freeman (Cathy), Robert Freeman, scores of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, Tiffany, Dawn, as well as many friends. She was preceded in death by her father Gene A. Heiston, and nephew Destin J. Heiston. Jen dedicated her life to being a wonderful mother to her only child, Christopher--her Angel. Jen made it her mission to brighten the lives of everyone around her and did everything possible to support and help family and friends whenever they were in need. She had the most genuine and loving soul, an incredibly vivacious laugh, a beautiful spirit, an energy that lit up any room she entered, and had one of the purest hearts to ever exist. She was the most incredible “Mommy Jen” & “Gammy” to her grandchildren C.J. and Kaylin; they were truly the center of her world. She will be remembered for sending the sweetest texts filled with heart emojis at the most random hours of the day, calling to tell you something only to hang up & call you right back within seconds to tell you something else, and of course her love of Starbucks’ hot Venti Caramel Macchiatos. She loved to visit Ocean City, Maryland. One of her favorite things was playing cards with her family. She worked hard for two decades, alongside George, building her company. She was a woman who never held a grudge, and just made the world a better place. Jen was a compassionate and strong Catholic woman who put her faith before anything else. She loved to pray the Rosary every day. She had the gift of connecting with every person she ever met. She made everyone feel extraordinarily special and had the ability to make each person feel like they were the most important person in the world. We will all go forward as Jen would want us to, by unconditionally loving ourselves, while also extending ourselves to help and support others. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday May 25, 2022 from 9:00-9:30 for immediate family only and 9:30-10:30 for the public at Raymond Funeral Home: 5635 Washington Avenue La Plata MD 20646. A funeral mass will immediately follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church: 4590 St Joseph’s Way, Pomfret MD 20675. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
