Dorothy Jean Dyson, 97, of Waldorf, Maryland, passed away in her home on April 9, 2022. Born on August 14, 1924 in Sedalia, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Rueben Pruesner and Virginia Means Pruesner. Mrs. Dyson served as a postal clerk for the United States Postal Service for many years. She enjoyed word puzzles, fresh cut flowers, listening to old country music, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her four sisters, Betty, Georgia, Vera, and Virginia; and two brothers, Reuben and Robert. Mrs. Dyson is survived by her husband of 74 years Rhoderick R. Dyson; her sister Barabara; her three sons Larry, Ricky, and Lynn; her daughter Kathy; 9 grandchildren Kimberly, Billy, Lisa, Keri, Amy, Jon, Angela, Nicholas, and Michael; 18 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. Mass will be held at 11am on, April 19, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 4590 St. Joseph’s Way, Pomfret, MD 20675. Interment will immediately follow at the church cemetery. Family and Friends will gather after service in the church hall.
