August 16, 1936 - January 22, 2022
Cornelia Ann Brady, of La Plata, Maryland, lost her courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2:04pm surrounded by her family, and left this earth to join her beloved husband of 66 years Billy Brady in heaven. She is survived by her daughters Debra and Earl Lanham, Carol Brady, Kathleen and Robert Bolduc, Maureen Brady and Erika Young, grandsons JB Gates and Rachel Dresser, Nick and Katie Lanham, great-grandson Brady Lanham and great-granddaughter Phoebe Lanham, and last but not least, her faithful dog Molly. Ann was born the only child to Goldie and Robert Wilcher on August 16, 1936 in Covington Virginia. At age 19, she wed in Hillside Maryland and began growing her family, which she loved deeply. Ann had a career working at the former Capital Centre Arena in Landover, Maryland and enjoyed countless opportunities to watch performers from all genres prepare for concerts. Ann developed life-long friendships with her coworkers that she cherished dearly throughout her life. Ann was a fearless defender and the protector of her children and grandchildren. At age 84, she said that her crowning achievement in life was being a faithful wife, a prideful homemaker and the mother of four strong daughters. Ann was high spirited, and loved to have a good chat and always had a cheery laugh with her friends. She greatly enjoyed meeting friends for lunch, participating in the Pilgrim Festival with neighbors at Thanksgiving and was known for long phone calls with family and friends. Ann was always up for traveling and had an adventurous palate. She was also an ardent online shopper happily contributing to the health of the global economy. She loved visiting the beach and trying her luck in any nearby casino. Ann died as she lived - on her own terms and timeline. To summarize Ann’s life, she loved and was loved immeasurably. We will miss you mom. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dentsville EMS/Fire or Charles County Mobile Intensive Care Unit.
