Ted Hines

Ted John Hines, 54, of Capitol Heights, MD, died July 12, 2009, at Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Clinton, MD. Mr. Hines was an accomplished mechanic. He loved figuring things out and then fixing them. His accomplishments included working on airplanes, automobiles but his passion was fixing and working on boats. He was devoted to the Lord. He held credentials as a Minister. In 2002 he joined a Motorcycle Group known as CMA the Chapter known as the Cycle Disciples. Not feeling fulfilled there he switched to the Chapter known as the Southern Messengers where he stayed for six years. Feeling that he couldn’t be who he believed God wanted him to be he changed once again to another Ministry known as Jesus Loves Bikers Motorcycle Ministry where he jumped in to help start taking the position as the web minister. He stated that he finally found a home where he could be himself. His wife Jackie said “He was the happiest she had ever seen him. He didn’t have to prove himself.” T.J. designed all the literature for the ministry and did a good job. In spite of his illness he wouldn’t stop trying to help and to reach out to other people. Born June 29, 1955, in Washington, DC, he was the son of Richard Emory Hines and Jeanette DeLaney Sharp Hines of District Heights, MD. Survived by his parents; wife of 15 years, Janice M. Hines; brothers, Richard Hines, Jr. Of NY; William and his wife Jennifer Hines of Clinton, MD; sister, Cheryl Lowe of Clinton, MD. Also survived by cousins, Tanya Ashtiani of Silver Spring and Lena Ashtiani of Silver Spring, MD. Visitation will be Friday, July 17, 2009, from 10AM to 11:30AM at Jesus Loves Bikers Motorcycle Ministry Chapel, 4624 Crain Highway, White Plains, MD 20695. Funeral Service will be Friday, July 17, 2009, at 11:30AM at Jesus Loves Bikers Motorcycle Ministry Chapel. Rev. Tony Wright will officiate. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD. Pallbearers will be Ed Robbins, Jimmy Jacobs, Stan, Robert Mellon, Les Mills, George Crawford, Steve Wilson, Warren Stuckey and Daniel Sonon.
