Patricia (Patsy) Ann Padgett Harper

Mrs. Patricia Ann Padgett Harper (Patsy) 79; of Waldorf, MD passed away peacefully in her home early Easter morning March 31, 2024. Over the past month Patsy was flourished in love by many a family, friend, and caregiving visitors to which she cherished. Born October 25, 1944 in Washington, DC Daughter to the late Mr. Joseph L Padgett (Dad - Roy - BamBam) and Mrs. Ethel L Padgett (Mom - Pug – Nana). Ultimately growing up in Accokeek where many fond memories were made. Along with so many good neighbors’ Patsy at 13 assisted her father complete in the building of the big house beside the little house where they had grown for so long. Patsy was a daughter, sister, cousin, friend, neighbor, mother, co-worker, wife and memaw. As a kid she enjoyed spending summers up the country with family in Martinsburg, WV, Stateline, PA, Hagerstown, MD, and their surrounding areas. A Graduate of Gwynn Park Sr. High School class of 1962 kept in touch with besties from Accokeek and Brandywine. As a career secretary she worked in the field(s) of Insurance, Bookkeeping, Property Management and Legal all in the city of Waldorf. A meticulous asset and joy to be around mentoring many along the way with friendships that continue to this day. Retired 2020. She enjoyed life with humor, animals, a good meal, television (Y&R), baseball, reading, country music, and collecting. She was preceded in death by husband Allen W. Harper and brother Ronald L. Padgett. She is survived by her children Dean Padgett (Donna) and Traci Padgett Marsh (Eddie), brothers Joseph Paul Padgett (Heidi) and James Henry Padgett (Janice), Grandchildren Brooke Marsh and Abbi Marsh. She is also survived by her step daughters Tracy Harper Curtis (Leo) and Julie Harper, grandchildren Crystal, Ashley, Brandi, Trey; a host of greats and their mother Judy. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 2PM until time of service at 4PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646 with Pastor Paul Goodwin officiating. Interment will be private.
