Lillian Elizabeth Wright, 72 of Newburg, Maryland succumbed to her illnesses, at her residence in Newburg, MD, September 29 2021. She was born August 4, 1949, in the District of Columbia. Born to the late Jean and Clarence Jones. Received education military bases. Educated, received high school diploma. Lillian worked at Pepsi Cola, Cheverly, Maryland 16 years, then Camp Saint Charles, Newburg, MD before she retired. She lived in Pensacola Florida, Jacksonville, North Carolina, and for last 28 years, Cobb Island, Maryland. We all learned and have memories of Lillian’s kindness, generosity, guidance, and old fashion good advice. Her family was her life and joy, great mother, grandmother and wife: I am eternally grateful that God gave her to me, and now he has taken her home to his house. Missy and I love you and will see you again. Preceded in death by her mother and father; husband, John Jilian Garett, Sr.; sister, Pat Dehart. She is survived by her husband Theodore S. Wright; her three children from husband John Julian Garett, Sr., Michael Dean Garret, John Julian Garrett Jr. (Kimberly), and Wanda Jean Teeter (David); sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Morris (Ed) and Mrs. Jeanie Hoffman; brothers, Ronald Jones and Robert Jones (Liz); grandchildren Holly Leann Benedict (Reginald), Katie Lyn Teeter, Daniel Pruit, Emily Michaeleen Garrett, Michael Garrett, Candice Evalinda Marie Garrett, Alex Chad Salinas, Maricarmen Alcaraz, Cidney Garrett, Steven Zink, Kaylin, Madison Garrett, Mason Garrett, Cristina Marie Mallick, Nicki Lane; great grandchildren Daniel Lewis Benedict, Wesley Levi Benedict, McKenzie Lean Pruitt, Mason Michel Garrett Eskridge, Dallas Aaron Eskridge, Sebastian Liam Salinas, Camilla Salinas, Alex Alcatraz, Aiden Mathew Brennan, Jackson Zink, and Colin Zink; also survived by other nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 2PM to 4PM and from 6PM to 8PM at Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Funeral Services will be on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 11AM at Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Interment to follow services at Christ Church Cemetery (Wayside), 13050 Rock Point Road, Newburg, Maryland 20664.
