Leslie Gilbert Ware

Leslie Gilbert Ware was born on February 7, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Howard and Eula Ware. He is the fourth child, a twin to Leon Gabriel Ware. Our Lord and Savior called him home on July 6, 2019 to a place of rest and peace from all of his suffering on Earth. Leslie completed his education in the Baltimore City Public Schools where he developed his culinary skills that grew into his lifelong passion for cooking. He was employed in several major establishments as a chef where he was featured in cooking magazines. His family was special to him; a loving father and provider. Leslie valued the teachings of his mother; love, respect, work ethics, and faith in our Lord and Savior. Even though he endured unbearable pain, he always walked in faith and called on the Lord. Leslie was many things to many people. He unselfishly fulfilled the role of a son to his mother after the death of his father. He assumed the role of father to help care for four younger siblings making sure his mother had the resources to care for the family. Leslie was a giving sibling to all who needed his help. He was a brother you could look up to for protection and guidance. He gave his all and asked for nothing in return. Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Eula Ware, Elmer W. Ware, Leon G. Ware (twin), Charles E. Ware, Diego Garcia and Marlene V. Elliott. Children: Samira C. Ford, Son-In-Law Scott Ford, Sharon Sherman, Leslie Ware, twins-Eric and Ericka’ McRae Ware, and Angela Ware ‘Melvin Leslie leaves five siblings, Harold D. Ware, Hawaii, Helen E. Davis, Baltimore, Maryland, Myrna S. Day, Washington State, Michael W. Ware, Baltimore, Maryland and Gene E. Ware. Shrewsbury, PA. Grandchildren: Corisande Nadeau, Scott A. Ford, Corsica Sherman, Sherice Snype, Austin Sherman, Princeton Ware, Victor Ware, Antwone Ware, Marquisha Davis, Raven Davis, Mercedes Melvin, Brittany Ware, Kendra Ware, Pacquin Melvin Jr. and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be remembered as a loving son, a wonderful brother, father and a man of character to what he held to be true in life.
