John Bradford Jr.

John Bradford, Jr. 54 of Brandywine, MD was welcomed home to be with Jesus, on Friday March 27, 2020 at George Washington University Hospital, Washington DC. A funeral service will not be held at this time due to the circumstances of the COVID-19 Pandemic. However a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. John was born on May 16, 1965 in Washington, DC. He married Jody Myers on April 23, 1988. They raised three wonderful daughters, Kara, Krissy & Emily. John was a member of New Life Wesleyan Church La Plata. John was so very proud of his three girls. He was the absolute best "Girl Dad". He modeled a Godly father-child relationship with each daughter. He loved them through constant guidance, protection, comfort and affection. He valued his unique relationship with each daughter. John was an amazing family man. He enjoyed spending time with his dog Otis. He treasured each of his friends and viewed many of his neighbors and bowling friends as family. John was an avid bowler. He liked to spend his free time helping his step father at Spare Time Sports Pro Shop. He loved sports and listening to the Junkies. John was known for his quick wit and humor. He had a tough exterior, but the warmest and biggest heart. He is survived by his wife, Jody Bradford, three daughters Kara Kelley-Portillo, Kristina Bradford & Emily Bradford; mother Barbara Underwood, step father Dale Underwood, son-in- law Alex Kelley-Portillo, sisters Vicki Abney & Lorrie Suto, brother in law Chuck Suto; stepbrothers Jeremy Clem and Ronnie Clem; sister-in-law Vicky Silke; brother-in-law John Silke; father-in-law William Myers Jr.; mother-in-law Marjorie Myers; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his dad John Bradford, Sr. and sister-in-law Wendy Myers. In John's memory, donations may be made to New Life Wesleyan Church 9690 Shepherds Creek Place, La Plata, MD 20646.
