Betty Ann Vietor

Betty Ann Vietor, 77, of Conway, South Carolina, peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022. She was born on June 11, 1944 in La Plata, Maryland to the late Henry Samuel Goldsmith and the late Isabelle Cora “Alvey” Goldsmith. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles Allen “Charlie” Vietor; son, Donald Allen “Donnie” Grabis; granddaughter, Melissa Sue “Missy” DeMarr; and also her siblings, Henry Goldsmith, Jr., Mary Belle Mister, Frances Lucille Higgs, Louis Patrick Goldsmith, and Violet Marie “Bootsie” Grimes. Betty Ann is survived by her daughter, Belinda Sue “Lynn” Flynn (Byron) and Ralph Charles Grabis, Jr. (Margo); siblings, Gertie Goldsmith, Archie Goldsmith (Patty), Elsie Mae Good, Connie Ankrom, Sam Goldsmith (Delores), and Barbara Jean Cullember. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Bruce DeMarr, Jhet Grabis, Gabrielle Grabis, Taylor Finch (Danny), Austin Grabis (Chelsea); several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. For many years, Betty Ann worked in a bank as an Accounting Clerk. Thereafter, in her time of leisure, she enjoyed gardening (which her flowers were always absolutely beautiful), antiquing (which filled her home with elegant antiques and, of course, happiness), crocheting (which she crocheted many beautiful blankets for her family), and traveling with her sisters to Pennsylvania (enjoying shopping, eating, and having a good time). She also had a deep love for little dogs, including the newest addition to her life, Little Dobby. Several years ago, Betty Ann and her late husband, Charlie, owned a home in Florida where they used to travel in the winter months for fun and relaxation. There they made so many friends and memories. Within the last five years, Betty Ann decided to leave the cold of Maryland and relocate to Conway, South Carolina to be near her daughter and enjoy warmer temperatures. Family will receive friends for Betty Ann on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 10AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, Maryland 20617. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be the following: Austin Grabis, Michael Goldsmith, John Mister, Gerald Mister, Patrick Goldsmith, and Daniel Good.
